“We’re always going to have tough teams in our conference,” head Coach Lisa Oyen said. “We have to put a 90 minute effort into every game and I don’t think we did that today. There were some nerves playing against a team with Stanford on their jersey and being ranked nationally. We have played very good teams these last few weeks so now we’re just focusing on the last five.”
In the net, Arizona goalkeeper Gabby Kaufman recorded six saves. In 67 minutes of play, Stanford goalkeeper Emily Oliver registered two saves while back-up goalkeeper, Aly Gleason, registered two saves in 23 minutes of action.
The Wildcats head to Oregon to take on the University of Oregon and Oregon State. Arizona matches up with Oregon on Friday, Oct. 19 at 7:00 p.m. at Pape’ Field in Eugene, OR. On Sunday, Oct. 21 the Wildcats travel to Corvallis, Ore. to take on the Oregon State Beavers at Paul Lorenz Field at Patrick Wayne Valley Stadium at 12:00 p.m.
