Strother Named to Pac-12 All-Academic First Team

TUCSON, Ariz. – Senior forward Kristin Strother was named to the 2012 Pac-12 Women’s Soccer All-Academic First Team for the third consecutive year in a row. Nine other Wildcats were named to the All-Academic Honorable Mention list.

To be eligible for selection on the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum of 3.0 overall grade point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.

Strother, who has maintained a 3.90 GPA while majoring in Psychology, participated in all 20 of Arizona’s matches. On the season, the Calgary, Canada native recorded six shots and two assists. 

Seniors Ariel Boulicault, Jessica Culver, Susana Melendez and Alex Smith, junior Shannon Heinzler, and sophomores Julia Glanz, Emily Lai, Mykaylin Rosenquist and LeeAndra Smith were named to the 2012 Honorable Mention list. This is Boulicault and Alex Smith’s third consecutive season on the Honorable Mention list and Heinzler and Melendez’s second consecutive season on the Honorable Mention list. 


 

 

For the 2012 season, the Wildcats posted a 6-11-3 overall record and were 2-7-2 in Pac-12 Conference play.
