Arizona shortstop K'Lee Arredondo earned second-team ESPN The Magazine Acadmic All-District VIII honors for her work in the classroom her junior year.

Arredondo, 20, from Tempe, Ariz., carries a 3.64 grade point average in psychology. The All-District teams are voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America.

She was a first-team All-Pac-10 Academic honoree last year and a likely pick this year. On the field, she's hitting .356 with 12 home runs and 37 RBI batting in the second spot in the Wildcats' batting order.

She's eight-for-12 with six runs and eight RBI in her last three games heading into UA's appearance in the NCAA Softball Championships this weekend at Louisville, Ky.
