Softball 2010 Fall Schedule

TUCSON, Ariz. - The Arizona softball team will have nine exhibition games, all at Hillenbrand Stadium, this fall to get ready the 2011 campaign.

The Cats will get things started with Yavapai College on Sunday, Oct. 3. The game will be at 2:00 p.m. MST.

Arizona, which begins to lift weights and condition next week, will then play host to the National Pro Fast Pitch All-Stars the very next day. Monday, Oct. 4, Jennie Finch, Chelsie Mesa and possibly more former Wildcats will return to Hillenbrand to take on the Cats. Game time is 6:00 p.m. MST.

Next up will be the Arizona Fall Classic, Oct. 15-17. The tournament will feature six teams from Arizona, New Mexico and California. It will be roughly thirty hours of softball spread over three days at Hillenbrand. Participating in the tournament will be Arizona, Central Arizona, New Mexico, Arizona Western College, Cypress College and Pima Community College. Arizona's games are as follows: Friday, Oct. 15 at 6:00 p.m. vs. Arizona Western; Saturday, Oct. 16 at 5:30 p.m. vs. New Mexico and 7:30 p.m. vs. Central Arizona; Sunday, Oct. 17 at 3:00 p.m. vs. Cypress and 5:00 p.m. vs. Pima. Those times are the scheduled times, though they depend on the lengths of the games played before them.

Wednesday, Oct. 20, the Cats will meet Pima once again in a game at 6:00 p.m. MST.

Arizona will conclude its fall season with a match-up with former Wildcats in the Arizona Alumni Game, Friday, Oct. 22 at 8:00 p.m. MST.
