2004-05 Season: Finished fourth in the 200 backstroke against Arizona State... Placed fifth in the 200 backstroke against Stanford (2:07.27) while finishing sixth in he 200 freestyle and seventh in the 200 backstroke against California... At the Texas Invitational, finished 20th in the 200 backstroke... Against USC, finished fourth in the 200 freestyle (1:54.24) and sixth in the 200 backstroke... Finished sixth in both the 100 and 200 backstroke against Wisconsin.

 2003-04 Season: At the 2004 Pac-10 Championships, qualified for the bonus consolation finals of the 200-yard back, placing 17th (2:02.67) and earning nine points for the Wildcats...Finished second in the 200-meter back (2:20.46) and fourth in the 100-meter back (1:05.10) against Arizona State... Placed sixth in the 200-yard back and seventh in the 100-yard back against Texas...Swam the second leg of the third-place 200y free relay against UCLA and finished sixth in the 50-yard free (24.78)...Was fifth in the 200 back (2:17.88) against California...Finished fifth against Wisconsin in the 100 back (1:02.68).

 

Prep: Four-year letterwinner in swimming at Lyndon B. Johnson High School in Austin, Texas, under coach Lee Willing... Team captain as a senior... Four-time All-Texas, All-Region IV and All-District 18 selection... NISCA All-American in 200 IM and honorable mention in 100 back and 200 free relay as a senior... Senior class president... Co-editor-in-chief of her school newspaper... Helped the Jaguars to a regional championship and a third-place finish at the state meet her senior year... Was regional and state champion in the 200 IM and conference champion in the 100 back... Finished third in 100 back at the state championships... Part of an LBJHS team that won the state title her freshman year... Competed for the Circle C Swimming club in Austin.

 

Personal:  Born Meghan Powers Flanagan on March 5, 1985, in Austin, Texas... Daughter of Patrick and Anne Flanagan... Has one older brother, Paddy, and one younger brother, Joe... Is interested in pursuing a degree in molecular and cellular biology.
