Arizona Hosts Fresno State and Santa Clara

TUCSON, Ariz. -

No. 33 Arizona (4-3) will host No. 52 Fresno State (4-2) on Friday, Feb. 15 at 1:30 p.m. MST and Santa Clara (2-2) on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. MST. Both matches will be held at the Robson Tennis Center.

Junior Lacey Smyth (Oceanside, Calif.) is riding a 6-1 singles record at the No. 1 spot and is coming off a three-match winning streak, including one victory over a ranked opponent.

Arizona head coach Vicky Maes and the Wildcats return home after picking up a loss to No. 40 San Diego.

The Wildcats played Fresno State in Fresno, Calif. and fell, 4-3 in the contest. The Bulldogs come into Tucson after defeating Santa Clara, 4-3, and San Francisco, 6-1.

Fresno State head coach Ryan Stotland will see familiar faces at the Robson Tennis Center. Stotland served as Arizona assistant coach for four seasons.

Santa Clara is coming off consecutive losses to Fresno State and San Jose State. The Broncos and Wildcats faced off in 2008 and Arizona swept the match.
