No. 30 Arizona (6-3) hits the road this weekend to face No. 28 TCU (5-1) on Friday, Feb. 22 at noon CT and then, No. 57 North Texas (5-1) on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT.
This past weekend, Arizona picked up two victories at home over No. 52 Fresno State and Santa Clara.
So far this season, the Wildcats have gone 1-2 on the road, falling to No. 13 Texas A&M and No. 49 San Diego and defeating No. 41 Minnesota. This weekend will mark the third time that Arizona is on the road and will be the last non-conference road trip of the season. Arizona will host two more matches at home before beginning Pac-12 play.
The Wildcats are 3-3 this season against ranked opponents. TCU will be the third top-30 team that the Wildcats will face this season. North Texas will be the eighth ranked team that Arizona will face.
UA junior Lacey Smyth (Oceanside, Calif.) earned her second Pac-12 Player of the Week honor for her play in the two victories over Fresno State and Santa Clara.
TCU has a 5-1 record at home. The Horned Frogs are coming off victories over Pepperdine and No. 17 Vanderbilt.
Arizona will be the fourth ranked opponent for TCU this season, as TCU’s record against ranked opponents is 2-1.
TCU’s sophomore Stefanie Tan is ranked No. 50 in singles.
North Texas is 3-1 at home this season. Arizona will be the third ranked opponent for North Texas, while their record against ranked opponents stands at 1-1.
