TUCSON, Ariz. -

Senior women’s tennis player Natasha Marks (Nottingham, England) was named the ITA Division I Senior of the Year for the southwest region, the ITA announced on Tuesday.

Marks, two-year captain, led the Wildcats to a 16-9 record, including a second-round appearance in the NCAA Regionals last week in Chappel Hill, N.C.

Individually, Marks posted an impressive 21-6 singles record in the spring season, including seven wins over ranked players.  

Additionally, she partnered with teammate Lacey Smyth (Oceanside, Calif.) for a 16-6 mark in doubles play, the duo finishing No. 37 in the ITA rankings.
