TUCSON, Ariz. -
Arizona head coach Vicky Maes and the women’s tennis team will travel to San Diego, Calif. in the SDSU Fall Classic, beginning Friday, Nov. 9 and continuing through Sunday, Nov. 11.
Four players will accompany Maes, including juniors Lacey Smyth (Oceanside, Calif.), Kim Stubbe (Mol, Belgium) and Susan Mc Rann (Dublin, Ireland) and freshman Inge Hendrikx (Zendert, The Netherlands).
All four players will compete in singles, while Hendrikx and Mc Rann will pair up for one doubles team and Smyth and Stubbe will compete together.
In the tournament, UA will face Utah, Washington, Kansas, Middle Tennessee State, SMU and SDSU.
Doubles play will begin at 9 a.m. each day and singles will follow.
The Wildcats are coming off a successful ITA Regional tournament, where Stubbe advanced to the quarterfinal round in singles play.
The SDSU Fall Classic marks Arizona’s last tournament in the fall season.
