2010: One of the most stellar performersof the 2010 season and argualy the team'sbest newcomer...Labonté placed 12th in the shot putat the NCAA Indoor Championships and later earned All-American status outdoors with a 4th place finish in the shot put at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore. She took the MPSF title in the shot put and also won the shot put at the Pac-10 Championships in in Berkeley while also placing 4th in the Discus. Threw herpersonal 50.43m in the discus at the Double-Dual Meet and 16.83m personal bestin the shotput at the annual Tucson Elite Classic...Her throw at the Elite Classic ranks as the third best in Arizona history...Qualified for the first round of the NCAA Championships in the discus...Competed for Canada at the NACAC U-23 Championships in Miramar, Fla., during the summer where she finished third...

Daughter of Daniel Labonté and Celine Tanguay. Julie was also an active participant in Volleyball and Basketball. Despite a late arrival, as she entered the University of Arizona Spring Semester of 2010, and a language barrier,Labontéhas shown herself to be one of the best and most versatile throwers in UA history.
