HIGH SCHOOL Rincon High School, Tucson, AZ: Considered a freshman phenom, Pridgett won her first regional titles in the 100, 200, 4x400, and long jump in her first year at Rincon High School...At the 4A-II state track meet, she defeated the three-time defending state champion in the 100 & 200, and led her team to a second-place finishin the 4x400-meter relay...Her sophomore ended in a fourth place medal in the 100m and third place in the 200m and a silver medal in the 400m. As a junior, she came back determined and finished first in four different events: 100m ,200m, 4x100m relay, and Long Jump. She defended those championships her senior year, finishing first in all except for a silver in the long jump. Pridgett was voted Girls' Track and Field Athlete of the Year in 2008, 2009, and 2010 for Arizona high schools. She has continuously made the first team in her events for the Southern Arizona track & field all-star awards...In 2009, she was rankedNo. 20 on Greg Hansen's top-100 list of Southern Arizona's leading sports figures...Earned nine titles for Arizona during her tenure at Rincon High School...

Tamara Renee Pridget...bornMay 3, 1992to Hans Pridgett and Africa Hollins...Has two sisters, Kiara and Demetria Pridgett, and two brothers, Dominic Gibbs and Damon Pridgett...Has not decided on an academic major, but plans on being an Olympic sprinter and/or a gastroenterologist...She enjoys the "typical stuff" (i.e., eating, hanging out, etc.)
