ARIZONA
2010: As a walk-on freshman, Talabi did not just compete, she impressed.She became a part of Arizona's long successful throwing history and did not disappoint. Indoors, Talabi setpersonal record at her last indoor meet, placing 5thwith a throw of 46' 11.5" (14.31m) at the MPSF Championships...Talabi's outdoor season was productive as well, able to achieve apersonal bestof 47' 0.25" (14.33m), placing 3rd, at the Double Dual (ASU-NAU-UA)... At the Pac-10 Track & Field Championships, Talabit helped the Wildcats complete the impressive 1-2-3-4 sweep in the shot put, coming in 4th with a throw of 45' 0.25" (13.72m).
HIGH SCHOOL
Chandler High School, Chandler Arizona: Earned three varsity letters in Basketball (2) and Track and Field (1). After playing nine years of basketball, Talabi was approached by her high school head track and field coach (Eric Richardson), during her junior year, to come and tryout for the team. With no experience at hand, Talabi was able to show natural athletic ability during her Junior and Senior years at Chandler High school, by being a part of the women track and field team's back to back state championships, and holding her own state championship title for shot-put her senior year.

Omotayo Oluwagbemisola Talabi...Born August 11, 1992 to Binga and Fola Talabi in Costa Mesa, Orange County, California...Her name comes from her family's Nigerian culture meaning "Child of Joy"... She is the oldest of her two siblings Wumni and Seun Talabi...Enjoys writing, museums, singing, track and field, playing basketball, watching movies (non-scary ones) ...Academic major is pre-business...Graduated high school when she was only 16 years old.
