TUCSON, Ariz. - Although it certainly wasn't pretty, the Arizona volleyball team notched its sixth straight victory of the season Saturday afternoon over Eastern Washington, 3-1, at McKale Center in the Wildcat Classic by Marriott Tucson University Park.

The Wildcats (6-0) topped the Eagles (3-3) in a match where the score didn't necessarily indicate how close it was.  With many errors and a poor hitting percentage, Arizona did not look like its usual self.  But give the team credit for being able to pull out a winnable match.

Though Arizona looked to be on its way to its fifth sweeping win of the season, Eastern Washington had no plans of laying down in the third set, topping Arizona 25-13 to force a fourth game.  Arizona then established itself and took the victory with a 25-18 set win.

"I thought there were many areas that we need to improve given today's performance," said head coach Dave Rubio.  "We just didn't look right all day.  I am pleased however with our ability to still win the match."

Wildcat Classic MVP Paige Weber recorded 32 assists for the Wildcats while Whitney Dosty and Dana Hutchinson each had double-digit kills with 12 and 10, respectively.

Hutchinson also showed prowess on the defensive end as she totaled a season high 16 digs. Tori Moore saw her first quality amount of playing time, filling in for Weber during set three and totaling five assists.

Dosty and Jacy Norton joined Weber as All Tournament selections for the 25th annual Wildcat Classic.

Next weekend the Cats will travel to the Bay Area as they'll play in the Santa Clara Tournament.  There they will face host Santa Clara on Thursday and Utah on Friday.
