Cats Move Up To No. 21
Sept. 14, 2009
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Arizona this week moved up four places in the AVCA’s weekly poll, coming in at No. 21. The Wildcats (8-0) received 260 total votes.
Last week, Arizona topped Santa Clara and Utah to claim the Santa Clara Invitational, its third tournament victory of the season.
Tiffany Owens garnered MVP while Jacy Norton and Courtney Karst received all-tournament selections. Alanna Resch and Elise Hendrickson also had big weekends defensively for Arizona.
This week, the Cats host the Arizona Invitational where they will take on Tulane and New Mexico Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. and again at 7 p.m. On Sunday, they will face UTEP at 11 a.m.
