2010 TAILGATING Sponsored by Bashas Tailgating on the U of A Mall is one of the great game day traditions of Arizona Football.
FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED TAILGATING

Wildcat Walk This season the football team is making their grand entrance through tailgating as they make their way to the stadium. Be the first to greet the team as they are dropped off on Cherry and University, 2 hours prior to the game.

Tailgating Passes First-come, first-served tailgating requires advanced purchase of a season or individual game tailgating pass. ALL vehicles will be required to display their tailgate pass. If a vehicle does not have a pass, it will NOT be allowed onto the tailgate grounds. First-come, first-served passes will not be replaced if lost. The University of Arizona is not responsible for the loss or theft of personal belongings.
Tailgate passes are sold as under 30' or over 30' depending on vehicle used. A vehicle that is over 30' must purchase an over 30' pass, however a over 30' pass can be purchased for an under 30' car for extra space. Spaces are assigned to tailgate pass holders in the order vehicles arrive, parked one next to the other, there will be no reserved spaces allowed on the tailgating grounds. Large parties must meet outside tailgating area and arrive together to be parked together.
Purchase Passes 2009 season tailgate passes holders must renew tailgate pass by May 3, 2010. Season ticket holders interested in season tailgating passes can call 520-621-CATS to be added to a waiting list. The waiting list is based on availability and priority points and will be filled by August 1, 2010. Individual game tailgate passes will be released ten (10) days prior to game day, available to purchase from the McKale Ticket Office at 520-621-CATS. Game day will call will be located on the tailgating grounds, please ask a UA tailgating staff member.
Directions All tailgaters must enter the tailgating grounds by heading south on Cherry off of Speedway. Click here for a map to Speedway and Cherry.
Tailgating Area Over 30' pass holders will be parked on the center UA Mall starting west and moving east. Under 30'pass holders will be parked starting on McKale Lawn and moving to Gittings Lawn.Tailgate locations may change for each game.
Tailgating Hours The tailgating area will open five (5) hours prior to kick-off. All tailgate areas must be cleared within one (1) hour after the conclusion of the game.
Rain In the event of heavy rain, it is possible that parking will not be allowed on the lawn or that tailgating may be canceled. Refunds will not be given due to inclement weather.
Tailgate Size The pass holder is limited to the designated space of his/her tailgate. The fire lane located in the center of the tailgating rows is for the safety of everyone, and must be kept clear of all obstructions.
Under 30 feet - For tailgates under 30 feet, the space size is 10 feet off one side of the vehicle and 30 feet from the front of the vehicle to the back of the space. (17x30) Over 30 feet - For tailgates over 30 feet, the space is 10 feet off one side of the vehicle and approximately 45 feet from the front of the vehicle to the back of the space. (18x45)
Please note that the side of the vehicle will be determined from the front passenger or driver's side wheel. Slide-out will not be allowed.Exact space is not guaranteed and may be adjusted slightly to accommodate more Tailgaters on high capacity games such as Homecoming.
Tailgate Capacity The overall attendance of a tailgate may not exceed the space provided. Should attendance become so large that the guests (invited guests or "walk-ins") cannot be confined to the designated tailgate space, it may be shut down. The pass holder is responsible for policing uninvited guests and should notify the UA Tailgating Staff if there are uninvited guests who refuse to leave their area.
Catering & Tent Company Deliveries If you are planning on renting pop-up tents, additional chairs, tables, or catering, please note that delivery vehicles are not allowed in the first-come, first-served area. Delivery drop-offs are allowed outside of the tailgating area. Please make sure that you have a pick-up time and place prearranged so as not to interfere with tailgating traffic. Catering vehicles are not allowed in the first-come, first-served area regardless of the possession of a catering permit. All tents being used must be set up by the pass holder; there will be no set up of tents in advance to the beginning of tailgating.
Restrooms Port-A-Johns are available on the UA Mall, Gittings Lawn and the McKale Lawn.
Generators No generators are allowed in the first-come, first-served tailgating area.
Alcohol Policies -No sale of alcohol -No open containers on public streets, sidewalks or thoroughfares -Bring your own beer and wine only, no hard alcohol permitted -No kegs or common sources of alcohol, this includes any drinking apparatus; such as a beer bong -All tailgate areas must be cleared within one hour of the conclusion of the game -No alcohol outside marked tailgating grounds or inside Arizona Stadium -No glass containers allowed -No public intoxication or disorderly conduct -Persons who supply alcohol to underage drinkers may incur criminal and civil charges -Alcohol may be consumed only during the five-hour period prior to kick-off Click here to get the full Alcohol Policy PDF

Reserved Tent Tailgates Available for groups of 100 or more. Tailgate includes tent, tables, table covers, fencing,chairs and trash cans. UA approved caterers and bartenders are available to hire and may be required for some groups. Contact Janessa Cummings at 520-621-2287 or janessac@arizona.edu for more information.
Corporate Signage Reserved tent tailgates are limited to hospitality functions only. All corporate signage (including banners, logo tents, flags, wrapped vehicles, etc.) in the tailgating area must be approved by Arizona Athletics/IMG prior to game day. Only Arizona Athletics/ IMG approved partners may use tailgate space for promotional tie-ins, kiosk displays, interactive exhibits, sampling or to engage in any other types of promotional activity. Tents may not exhibit any external corporate identification. Tent tailgates are provided one sign for guests to locate correct tailgate. All Inclusive Tailgates For companies looking for a turnkey event are also available for groups of 100 or more. Tailgating includes tent, tables, chairs, table covers, trash cans, welcome sign, additional signage, game tickets, catering, Coca-Cola products, ice, invitations, set up and clean up.
