TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona men's tennis head coach Clancy Shields announced the addition of Maciek Sykut to the coaching staff, who will be joining the program as assistant coach for the 2017-2018 season. Before his tenure at North Carolina State, Sykut spent three years at North Ridge Country Club as the director of junior tennis.

"I'm excited to announce the addition of Maciek Sykut as our new men's tennis assistant coach," said Shields. "Maciek brings a wealth of experience as a decorated collegiate athlete, a former top 150 ATP player and a background in coaching at the junior and collegiate ranks. Maciek will undoubtedly bring a lot of experience to the program and will help us continue to raise the bar with Arizona tennis. I'm looking forward to working with Maciek; I know he will enrich our player's lives on and off the court, and he will have a tremendous impact on our program."

"I am thrilled to be named Assistant Coach of Men's Tennis at the University of Arizona," said Sykut. "Coach Clancy Shields' energy, enthusiasm and dedication to the program inspire me and I can't wait to work side by side with him. I am ecstatic to get started with our student-athletes and look forward to helping our program reach new heights. A big thank you to the University of Arizona, as well as Clancy, for believing in me and giving me this opportunity."
