Stoll Tied for Lead After Day One of the Pac-12 Preview

The University of Arizona women's golf team completed the first two rounds of play at the Nanea Pac-12 Preview in Kailua Kona, Hawaii on Monday. The Wildcats are in a tie for second place alongside Arizona State at 10-over par with a score of 594. Stanford is in the lead at +8.
"It was an awesome team performance today," said coach Laura Ianello. "We were led by Gigi, Haley and Krystal. The conditions were windy and difficult in the afternoon and the team fought hard to try to keep the lead. We have some fierce competition against ASU, Stanford and Oregon State tomorrow. We'll look to eliminate small mistakes and play smart tomorrow to capture the win."
The Cats were led by sophomore Gigi Stoll who had a great day. Stoll currently sits in a tie for first place at 3-under par with rounds of 69 and 74. Junior Krystal Quihuis carded a 70 and a 77, which puts her in a tie for eighth place at 1-over par. Sophomore Haley Moore is currently tied for eighth place at 1-over after rounds of 69 and 78.
Sophomore Danielle Lee posted scores of 78 and 79 and she sits in a tie for 38th at 11-over par. Freshman Sandra Nordaas is in a tie for 58th place at 17-over par after rounds of 78 and 85. Junior Natalia Forero competing as an individual is tied for 53rd at 16-over par.
Kathleen Scavo of Oregon and Robynn Ree of USC are tied along with Stoll atop the individual tournament leaderboard at 3-under par.
The Wildcats will finish the tournament on Tuesday morning, teeing off at 7:30 a.m. HST/10:30 a.m. MST.
